As the Production Scheduler, you will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating flow of work within or between departments of the manufacturing plant to expedite production. Daily responsibilities will include: · Ordering raw material, supplies, components, finished goods, or equipment and regulating inventory levels consistent with just in time and continuous improvement principles · Utilizing Future 3 EDI software to access customer release information · Receiving customer requirements from any customers not utilizing Future 3 via fax, e-mail, regular mail or telephone orders · Creating/revising daily production and shipping schedules according to customer demand and availability of labor, materials, and equipment · Reviewing/responding to customer bulletins to identify critical shortages, receiving discrepancies, and/or on hand status · Ensuring new parts are properly entered in BPCS, Future 3 before first shipment · Monitoring OEM delivery rating scores and disputes when necessary · Acting as liaison with customers in regards to, but not limited to, order clarification, ship windows, and expedited freight.
